QIB Introduces Direct Remit Service to India through QIB Mobile App

The new service allows customers to transfer money to bank accounts in India in seconds

 

24 November 2020, Doha, Qatar: As part of its ongoing efforts to offer the most convenient and fast banking services to all its customers, Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) is pleased to announce the launch of a new Direct Remit service to India, enabling its customers to make transfers to bank accounts within seconds.

Free of transfer fees till end of December and available 24/7 and exclusively on the QIB Mobile App, the Direct Remit service is designed to simplify the QIB customers’ remittance experience, and allows them to transfer money to bank accounts in India within 60 seconds. QIB has carefully incorporated the new service in the Mobile App with features that will provide the customer convenience and maximum security.

For this new service, QIB chose to partner with HDFC Bank, one of the largest banks in India holding a network of 5,336 branches and 14,996 ATMs spread across 2,825 cities. Through this partnership, QIB will directly connect to the IMPS & NEFT payment services in India, enabling instant transfers to any bank across the country and in more than 100,000 locations. 

Customers can track the status of their money transfers through the QIB Mobile App at any time and receive instant updates on the status of their transactions via SMS. 

Commenting on the new service introduction, Mr. D. Anand, QIB’s General Manager – Personal Banking Group said: “QIB is pleased to introduce an additional new service and to continue easing and simplifying the banking experience of all our customers. The new Direct Remit service allows customers to send money to India within seconds, and a fast option to perform their transfers anytime, from anywhere using the QIB Mobile app. As per our commitment to offer a convenient and efficient banking experience to all our customers, we will soon expand this service to offer direct remit to key countries around the world.”

QIB Mobile App can be downloaded from Apple Store, Google Play, and Huawei AppGallery. Customers can easily self-register using their active ATM/Debit Card number and PIN. QIB Mobile App offers a seamless banking experience, and allows customers to access all their accounts, check their finance status, perform many activities on their cards, transfer money locally and internationally, pay their bills and more.
